Born in Barcelona, Clara Sullà is a visual artist specialising in textile art-work.
She graduated in Fine Art from the University of Barcelona and studied for the MA at Wimbledon College of Art London. Her work has been exhibited in several art galleries in Spain, Austria, France, UK, Luxemburg, Brasil, Egypt and Mexico. (See Pdf "Exhibitions & Awards” below)
Since 2007, Clara Sullà’s art-work evolved into 3D textile art. This led the way towards Stage craft. She currently designs and produces theatre costumes, props and sets (atrezzo) for La Fura Dels Baus and other theater groups. Her designs are characterized by visual plasticity and singularity, as well as by the use of unusual shapes and materials.
Clara has lived and worked in Vienna, London and Cairo. She currently lives and works in Barcelona where she teaches art and creativity techniques at the Faculty of Pedagogy in the University of Barcelona.
